Where most of the competencies are about a single part of the design process, this competency is about the process itself. Plan, perform and reflect are besides research and reasoning (explaining the choices you made with good argumentation) the key elements of this competency.

After the first semester I wanted to reflect after each milestone instead of reflect after we got stuck in the design process as we did in our first project. So we started to follow an iterative focused design process where we reflected after each milestone (prototype). We describe in our project report what we learnt after certain milestones by reflecting on this milestone. Then we describe what we think is the next best step and why we think this. Although some iterations where very small it helped us to improve our concept every time we did an iteration. I learnt that the iteration don’t have to be very large to improve your concept. Sometimes are more and smaller iterations better than long and big iterations.

The process you went through was iterative; you developed and explored various version of the design. Even though some iterations were small, I find it impressive that you have realized 5 iterations in such short time, very well done! This process helped you improve the concept a lot.
