Past

I am someone who is open for new ideas and experiences. I like to acquire some knowledge on almost every subject, in particular technology. I am also interested in art styles. Art styles like Bauhaus and minimalism are styles I like because they are modern and they give you the feeling that you are connected with nature. They are maintaining the dialog between the object (often a building) and the surrounding environment. It all started when I was a child. I loved playing with toys like K'NEX and Lego because these kind of Toys which enabled me to imagine something and building it were the kind of toys I most loved playing with. It made me creative in some way. After I built something according to the manual I always experimented with my own ideas about the design. It is then that I knew that in the future I want to do something with technology and at the same time have the possibilities to be creative.

So the choice of going to study Industrial Design was therefore not difficult. The study fits my interests I which mentioned earlier perfectly. I also chose to study University of Technology Eindhoven (TU/e) as University to study at, because they are focused on creativity unlike other universities. The education system at TU/e give you the opportunity to be creative and develop yourself in a way you want.
